Taking a page out of EA’s book it looks like if you want to play White Knight Chronicles 2 online you’ll have to pay for the full retail version.
Sony has said that gamers will have to input a code to play online. The code is refereed to as the “Geo Net License.” The code will be found inside the dust jacket of each retail copy of White Knight Chronicles 2. You will probably have to pay a small fee to play online if you ever buy a pre-owned copy of the game.
To use the code just register it using your PlayStation Network account. If you wish to play the game on a separate account you will need to buy a separate license from the PlayStation Store.
Sony has not revealed how much it will charge for the extra licenses but more information should be revealed soon. White Knight Chronicles 2 is out in Japan on July 8th 2010.
