In a recent interview with legendary Nintendo developer, Shigeru Miyamoto, talks about the new Zelda game which will be officially unveiled at this year’s E3.
Traditionally Nintendo usually makes a demo movie first before elaborating onto the the game’s mechanics. With this new Zelda game however, Miyamoto said that he broke tradition and made the gameplay mechanics first before creating a demo movie. He did not state a reason for the role reversal.
He also aims to make the game more accessible by having easier controls:
For us, it is important to the to optimize gameplay and make the controls easier. We do our best to make the controls player friendly, since Zelda has become complicated.
He also hinted the game will have a “big surprise” but will not share details of that yet.
The big reveal and more details on the next Zelda will be at this year’s E3 event. Nintendo will have most of its major announcements on June 15th.
