Sony has announced a partnership with MUBI (a leading online film library) a new application that will bring art-house and independent films to your PS3.
It will be released this Fall (Spring in Australia and New Zealand) and will be a free application download. MUBI promises it will have over 300 films on the application by launch. From directors such as the Coen Brothers and Tarantino. The films will all be available for you to stream directly on your PS3.
It is said to be easy to use as all you do is download the application from the PlayStation Store, open it up and start watching. Some movies are free while others you can rent for a week. You can also pay for a monthly subscription to watch all the movies you want.
MUBI for PS3 will be launched this Spring and Fall initially in the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Iberia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, Nordic countries, Australia and New Zealand.
