PS3 owners of RPG game Dragon Age may be close to healing their wounds as BioWare have started testing a patch that can fix the game’s crashing issues.
In a very odd occurrence many players who updated their PS3s to firmware 3.30 started to receive constant crashing issues while playing Dragon Age. Most updates on PS3 are to improve gameplay but this is one of the few times an update did the exact opposite.
BioWare Producer Fernando Melo, posted on BioWare’s official forums:
“The team now thinks we’ve been able to find a code-side workaround from our end to patch DA to play nicer with firmware 3.3.”
He did not state when we’ll see the patch yet as both EA and Sony have to certify if the patch is indeed ready to go and free of any other issues. PS3 Dragon Age gamers may still have to wait for the patch but at least they know the crashing issues are being worked on.
