Got your 3D TV sitting in front of you but no 3D games to play on it? Your luck is about to change! Soon PAIN, the game that makes everyone say Ouch!, will have a downloadable pack bringing the PAIN filled world into 3D.
Starting this Thursday, the Hong Kong PSN store will have this DLC pack avaliable for purchase, so shortly the pack will most likely appear on the US and EU stores. The DLC brings two brand new levels with the improved depth perception, named Alien Toss and Ice Breaker; other modes already on the game will also be transformed into 3D via a patch.
The first, Alien Toss sees you firing aliens through the traditional glass panels and into many more PAIN related objects (with a space theme) as you try teaching the invadering aliens a rather ‘PAINful’ lesson.
Sony is putting strong emphasis that the Add-on is only compatible with 3D TV sets, and also adds a warning for childrens eyes. This sounds like the usual covering a company does, especially as 3D gaming is new. Does this show the way for other already released games to introduce 3D or the direction Sony is heading in by adding 3D to games? Hopefully at the upcoming E3 we shall find out.
