With the recent update allowing the ability to use a flash drive on the Xbox 360 as a memory unit, Microsoft and SanDisk’s officially released pre-configured flash drives starting today.
For fans who don’t want the hassle of reconfiguring their own flash drive to work with the Xbox 360, the Official Flash Drives are your solution. SanDisk and Microsoft have teamed up to release two flash drive packages that will suit your needs; a 8GB and a 16GB flash drives that comes with a month’s subscription card to Xbox LIVE Gold. The 8GB is retailing at $39.99 while the 16GB is at $69.99.
Are buying the Official Flash Drives worth it?
Editor’s Response: Actually, it’s not worth it. Any flash drives will work on the Xbox 360 and configuring it to work is easy. Find a cheap flash drive from SanDisk without the Microsoft logo!
Check out your local retailers for the availability of the flash drives.
