According to an interview from the latest issue of Game Informer magazine, the developer of LittleBigPlanet, Media Molecule, confirmed that LittleBigPlanet 2 is releasing in 2010.
There has not been an exact release date penned yet, but gamers can expect the sequel to introduce lots of new and innovative gameplay features.
According to the interview you won’t be just limited to creating levels for a side-scrolling platforming game anymore. You can now create your own RPG, FPS, racing or any other genre of gaming out there. Whether or not this will provide gamers a rich experience of the aforementioned genres remains to be seen, but it does look promising.
The interview also highlighted that gamers and create 2D style platform games. Think of the 16-bit era of the 90s and you’ll know what i mean.
As always there will be enhancements to the AI, more customization options and a whole lot more.
We are still not sure whether LittleBigPlanet 2 will utilize the PlayStation Move yet, but we can expect to see more announcements on the game at E3.
