According to VG247, Sony is to reveal details of a paid premium version of the PSN at this year’s E3 event.
Although it is just a rumor at this stage the cost per year for the paid version is around $70. This translates to 50 pounds in the UK and around $100 in New Zealand. If this is indeed true people who are willing to pay for the premium version of the PSN will have access to a free PSN game download per month plus a music streaming service. I’m sure punters will have access to more services but we’ll have to wait and see if the rumor is true at E3.
Don’t be alarmed if you thought you had to pay to still play online. According to VG247 the paid premium service is optional so you can still have access to the PSN for free. Again this is still at rumor stage and we’ll have to wait till E3 to see if Sony reveals anymore details on the matter.
