Between the two console versions of Red Dead Redemption, the Xbox 360 has superior visuals. However, gamers will still encounter occasional graphical glitches.
Installing the game data of Red Dead Redemption onto the Xbox 360 hard drive will not only eliminate load times, but it will also help to reduce the glitches that gamers will encounter. With Red Dead Redemption having an open world, graphical glitches are expected, but installing the game data helps a lot. When playing the game without installing the data to the hard drive, you can see a slow down in streaming the game’s background. The game’s data is 6.7GB, which might be too big for some people who have smaller hard drives, but trust me it will benefit you.
Red Dead Redemption is now available in stores on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Check back with us throughout the week for our continuing coverage of Red Dead Redemption.

After loading, 6 times in, Map Travel, after the “DEAD” screen, loading up saved games, and Loading Single Player (from menu screen), both with and without the game installed, the load time over all was about the same for me.
However! If you have the room, install it, it cuts down noise from your 360 and prolongs it’s optical drive. Draw Distance is better as well, and textures load faster.
