Despite being a decade old the PlayStation 2 still managed to sell one million units thus far in 2010.
Analysts are predicting that the console may still have the potential to sell up 3 or 3.5 million units by the end of the year during the holiday season.
They have also predicted the console will be within reaching distance of selling 150 million units worldwide. The PS2 is currently the best selling console of all time. PS2 figures include both the original and the slimline versions. The Nintendo DS is the second best selling console selling just under 130 million units to date.
