PS3 gamers eagerly awaiting Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption will be pleased to hear that they will be getting a couple of exclusive content.
Reported by Examiner, the PS3 version of the game will exclusively feature Solomon’s Folly Gang Hideout and the Walton Gang Outfit as evident from the above cover art. The DLC codes will be included inside the game’s casing free of charge. This move could potentially sway multiplatform owners in picking up the PS3 version. The strategy also reminds of the PS3 exclusive Joker DLC for Batman: Arkham Asylum which definitely helped the PS3 version ultimately outsell its 360 counterpart.
Saddle up and prepare to journey into the Wild West when Red Dead Redemption hits PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on May 18th. Stay tuned for our review next week.

May 14, 2010 at 5:29 PMYou’ve gotta be kidding me…… the first time I choose a 360 version over a PS3 version for pre-order, the PS3 gets exclusive content…. weak. Oh well I guess it’s worth missing to play with more of my friends. The 360 multiplats look like they’re usually better anyway so oh well. Just lame having exclusive content on my favorite platform the one time I choose the other version.

There’s still time to cancel your pre-order and get it on PS3, or if you pre-ordered at GameStop, or a store like that (Best Buy, etc) then you should be able to switch it there as well, so I don’t see what the problem is.
Doesn’t sound to amazing anyway. An extra hideout, and an outfit…nah. I’m sure the other unlockable outfits will be better, and if you pre-ordered from GameStop that outfit will be awesome. And an extra hideout is probably useless.
