We’ve been covering Final Fantasy IX‘s jump to PlayStation Network for the last while, and while the Japanese release date is confirmed as May 20, there is no set date for North America and Europe. Although, it seems to be coming our way sooner than we may think.
Considered by many gamers to be a must-play title for any RPG fan, FFIX will soon to be available for North American fans via the PlayStation Network. If you missed Final Fantasy IX during the early PlayStation era, or are dreaming of reliving the time-tested FFIX adventure, your chance is coming soon.

“Soon” they say. “Soon”. Why can’t it be now? Final Fantasy IX is easily my favourite game of all time, not just the Final Fantasy franchise, and I’m extremely excited to get to play it again. I don’t care that I already have two copies, I’m getting it on my PS3 and PSP anyway.
