Much like UK PS3 owners have access to the BBC on their PS3s, local TV station, TVNZ has set up a similar service in New Zealand.
It is part of the station’s internet service called TVNZ On Demand where viewers can watch all their favorite TV shows online. It has been confirmed that all broadband connected PS3s in New Zealand will have access to the service on the XMB under “TV”.
Furthermore, if any PS3 owner in New Zealand is setup with Orcon they won’t be charged for the streaming of the content. In other words your data cap won’t be affected so effectively you’ll be using zero megabytes.
This comes as great news for TV lovers in New Zealand since Sony’s Play TV has never reached our shores.
