Who said that Alan Wake is a short game? You might want to think again as the game will require more than one play through for completionist out there.
In the world of Alan Wake, there are collectibles that gamers can collect. One of the things that Alan will be collecting is the manuscript. There are a total of 106 manuscripts scattered throughout the six episodes of Bright Falls. Some are easy to find, some will require a little exploration. Not all 106 manuscripts can be achieved by just playing one play through, as the other 15% of it will be unlocked only when playing the Nightmare difficulty.
Aside from collecting manuscripts, there are items to collect such as the 100 Coffee, 30 hidden treasure chests, Radio Shows to listen to, TV shows to watch, signs to read, and a lot more. These all can be tracked in the statistics page. Don’t worry, even though you start playing a new game under a new difficulty, your collection will not reset.
Check back with us near the release date for more information on Alan Wake. Details on the Taken, the characters, and a lot more will be revealed soon. Stay tuned.

April 28, 2010 at 3:39 PMThe best games are only on the 360 , Alan Wake shows what true power is not like the PS3 jokes like GoOW and Unfarted
Every 360 game DESERVE more than one playtrough , on the PS3 you don’t play anything is just a movie player and a very very bad one

April 28, 2010 at 4:25 PMTo the above poster, help me out. What part about presenting yourself as a complete fool is the most attractive to you?
Fanboyism is a complete sham of a movement. The only point is to try and take the good things about a console you do not prefer (and the games), and then attempt to lie like hell and distort the facts in order to create some alternate universe where the garbage you spew might actually be real.
Same goes for PS3 idiots. What a waste of time. I wish I had the calories back that I wasted on you, but I got this far, so I suppose i’ll press enter anyway.

April 28, 2010 at 11:25 PM@Alpha-Male 22: Seems to me that your an inbred white supremisist prick. FYI dipshit Metal Gear Solid 4 has one of the best stories in a videogame. It was made by a Japanese person. Grow up you cross burning idiot. Your pretty low yourself as well as illiterate. Did you spellcheck before you posted? No? Did you pass high school English? Doesn’t look like it.
@Natsu X FairyTail: Your obviously blinded by the beaten horse called HALO to see that there is more to this world than just one system. I agree with Heh, all your doing in spewing meaningless garbage that is your own personal opinion. As for the PS3 being a bad movie player, didn’t HD movies get dropped from the 360 because blu-ray was better? Yeah I thought so too.
They make a special place for people like you two. It’s called the short bus. They even supply you with helmets and snack packs. Now go get your diapers and bibs changed then come back when your mature enough to have a decent chat with your fellow players.

April 29, 2010 at 1:34 AMObvious trolls are obvious, folks. Just ignore them and let the negative ratings of their ignorant, worthless comments do the talking here.
On the subject, I personally dislike collect-a-thons in my games. ugghhh
