With the PlayStation Move officially unveiled yesterday during the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, a lot of media, (including us who attended the event) came to the conclusion that the PlayStation Move controllers are just an improved replica of the Nintendo Wii’s Wii Remote and Nunchuck. With that being said, we’ve seen what games PlayStation Move has to offer and with the Eye Camera acting as the Sensor Bar, the motion controller for the PS3 is a step closer to the Wii HD.
The Nintendo Wii offers a lot of games that fully utilizes the Wii Remote. It is famous for on-rail shooters and unique games such as Punch Out, and Wii Resorts. The games that were unveiled for the PlayStation Move yesterday are no different than the ones we’ve seen for the Wii so far. Motion Fighting (Working Title) plays very similar to Atlus’ Punch Out, while the Golf is similar to what we played in Wii Play.
It is truly possible for Nintendo Wii games to be ported on the PlayStation 3 using the PlayStation Move Controller? But what Wii games have the potential to arrive on the PlayStation 3? We know third-party studios would love to make more money on their Wii games that didn’t get enough reception on the Nintendo Wii!
POSSIBLE WII GAMES
– Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles
– Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles
– Punch Out
– House of the Dead: Overkill
– House of the Dead 2 & 3
– Dead Space Extraction
– EA Sports Active
– Red Steel 1 & 2
– The Conduit
These are just the list of games that we think are possible to be coming on the PlayStation 3 using the PlayStation Move controller. We have seen how SOCOM 4 was fully integrated with the use of the PlayStation Move controller, and it plays great!
