Zipper Interactive announced today in their official MAG blog that a new patch will be released today. Fans who are experiencing server problems from playing the game will be glad to know that it will be somehow fixed with the 1.04 update. Aside from server problems, it will also fix bugs such as the error text, “undefined Unnamed”.
You will be prompted to download the patch as soon as you’re connected to the PlayStation Network and play the game. Here are the full patch notes straight from Zipper Interactive:
Patch v1.04
Gameplay
* Characters colliding with geometry will now be resurrected towards the player who revived them.
Weapons
* Sniper rifles have been tuned to be less effective when they’re not scoped.
* Slightly pushed out “effective” range of all short-ranged weapons (pistols, PDWs, shotguns, SMGs).
Interface
* Fixed error text “undefined Unnamed” and the appearance of a blue APC icon that appeared when a Squad Leader FRAGO’d an APC objective.
Technical
* Corrected “Kills at 120m” Display bug.
Server
* Significant anti-cheat improvement that minimizes and blocks several “lag pedal” device exploits.
* Enhanced all queues to accept Zipper-activated “Directives” game states.
There you have it, a brand new patch that will hopefully lessen the problems in this 256 player shooter. Of course this doesn’t fix SVER balancing issues but maybe it will lessen the pain.
