According to Siliconera, Square Enix seem to be working on a new spin off to its best known series, known by the name of Voice Fantasy.
The name has been recently trademarked in Europe, meaning that the project could see a release there first. This seems like an interesting take for the Final Fantasy series, as it sounds as if command will be input through words rather than fingers and thumbs, the norm for the series. I think the spin-off could be aimed at Wii owners; Square Enix have said themselves that it would like to reserve main series games for the more powerful consoles of that era and so far the Wii, and DS even, have been stuck with the Crystal Chronicles series.
It could work well on the Wii, with the positive feedback from Wii Speak, and even with the DS’ built in microphone. At any rate, the likelihood is that it will appear on a Nintendo console.
