When the Resident Evil 5 was first released back in 2009, the PlayStation 3 version of the game requires a big chunk of space, a 5GB HDD Install. Now that the Gold Edition of Resident Evil 5 is releasing next month, expect the install to eat up 6GB of HDD space. It also seems that the DLC, Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape, is around 500MB each adding another 1GB or so making the Gold Edition 6GB while the original RE5 is 5GB.
Just remember to free up some space if you’re thinking to purchase this game. Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition is slated to come out this March 12th on the XBOX 360 and PlayStation 3. Check back for our review of the DLC pretty soon.

February 11, 2010 at 2:38 PMOh boy what a shame is that japanese PS3 it needs to install everything to barely run multiplats and even with this they look and play 200% worse than on the Wii. Please japan leave gaming to the real Gods , leave gaming to americans. Japan can keep making toys.
