It seems Activision has set the release date for the next installment of the Call of Duty series for this November. This is believable since World at War and Modern Warfare 2 were both November releases to take advantage of the upcoming holiday season. Activision is hoping to dominate sales for Christmas 2010 just like they have the past two years.
Treyarch will be developing this one which will be set during the Vietnam War. They have stated that their influences for the game lie heavily in two classic movies in particular: Apocalypse Now and Platoon.
Development is on course – and Treyarch have been told the game must be ready to hit shelves before the gifting season
So the chance of it getting delayed seems very slim. Keep checking back as more information is uncovered in the coming months and be sure to let us know what you think in the comments below!
