Today is the day I’ve been waiting for as White Knight Chronicles International Edition finally arrived in front of my doorstep. One of the first things I noticed as soon I plugged in the game is that it requires a HDD install. Before you start playing, you must install at least 2.8GB of data that can take up to five minutes. After that, everything will run smooth.
We know that these has been going on with some PS3 games and we know it’s for the better. Check for our game review early next week.

January 25, 2010 at 7:29 PMMandatory installs suck, i’ve only got a 40GB HD in my PS3. I was kinda hoping devs would’ve found a way to cut loading times without treating the PS3 like a PC by now.

January 25, 2010 at 10:17 PMThe HDD install is for the 50(+) Online quests that were originally DLC (in Japan). They didn’t recode the quests for the localization so they need to be installed and read from the HDD, not the disc.

January 25, 2010 at 11:26 PM@David: Go buy a HDD, for under a hundred buck you could get a HDD betweenj 320-500gig, that will stop you complaining about future games that require installs.
