Ubisoft has announced that they are hard at work on the follow up to Assassin’s Creed 2. The game is being created by the same studios who worked on Assassin’s Creed 2, which was mostly done by Ubisoft Montreal. They are targeting the games release some time before March 2011 and some sources believe a Christmas release is most likely. Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, had this to say:
We have a new Assassin’s Creed that we expect will be a very high quality product that as well as an offline complement will have a multiplayer component,”
“It is the same studios because it’s not only one studio creating the game, but an association of studios and they are working together to make it happen.
Another spokesman added this:
The game will take place with the same hero, which is Ezio, and will follow-up the story that took place in Assassin’s Creed 2.
So there you have it. A new Assassin’s Creed is on the way with the addition of a multiplayer component and will not be changing protagonists. Leave a comment letting us know what you think about this recent development.
