French website Objectif-Sega recently uploaded some alleged notes from a meeting that was said to have taken place on August 5th between Sega and SCEA. There was a lot of content, but the major bombshells were that the Sony motion controller will see a Spring 2010 release in Japan, and that the PS3 will once again have PS2 backwards compatibility. Along with that comes downloads of PS2 games on PSN, but in ADDITION to that, PSN could also offer Sega Dreamcast downloads, the document went on to specify a possible “Japanese Import” section.
Whether this is true or not is highly debatable, though the fact that it was found Sega’s PR FTP site does give it some legs. In addition, Sega has since removed said document from the site, adding even more speculation. With all rumors, until we get some confirmations from the horses mouth, this can be classified as nothing but a rumor. Though if it is true, this could finally boost PSN above the Xbox Live Arcade.
