Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days released only a few days ago for PSP. Fans have been reporting a strange error message when loading up the game that says the DLC cannot be loaded.
NISA has confirmed that this error will have no effect on the game, and went on to say that the first downloadable pack will be available on November 25th for the low low price of $0.00. That’s right, the first bit of DLC will be totally free. The pack will contain an additional character, Sapphire from Disgaea 3.
Here’s the statement that the Customer Support of NIS America released (Courtesy of GameFAQs Member):
After thorough investigation, we have found out that this error message was
somehow misplaced. This message was supposed to show up when you have an
additional character in your save data, but you don’t have any DLC data on
your Memory Stick. However, once you install DLC data on your Memory Stick,
it will no longer appear.
Our research also found out that this message doesn’t affect the gameplay
experience, except distress it may cause.
To compensate for the distress and confusion, we are going to launch the
first DLC for this title, Safire(I think they meant Sapphire), for free of charge. We are planning to
launch the first DLC on 11/25/2009.
We will also post a more detailed announcement regarding this issue.
Thank you again for your support and patience. I hope you enjoy Disgaea2:
Dark Hero Days.

to your expectations.
