Coming as a surprise to no one not living under a rock, Sony finally made the official announcement of the PS3 Slim today at Game Con in Germany. The new model will be out on September 1. The new model is 33% smaller and 36% lighter, will have an internal 120 gb harddrive and will sell for the nice price of $299.99. The only thing missing is backwards compatibility, seems Sony still feels anyone wanting to play PS2 games could simply go out and buy a PS2, can’t say we totally agree…
